Comforsa has received financial aid from the Fondo Nacional de Eficiencia Energética (FNEE), valued at €198,873.92, to facilitate the project to incorporate a high efficiency tempering furnace into a forging line in the Comforsa 2 warehouse. This grant is It adds to the co-financing of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and will help the company to be able to face the investment involved in this project.

This investment will allow significant energy savings, and it is estimated that up to 100.90 equivalent tons of oil will be saved each year. This will be possible thanks to the implementation of a semi-continuous gas-fired tempering furnace, with low consumption, which will replace a set of 6 electric, discontinuous, and inefficient pot furnaces.

The project, which follows Comforsa’s strategic line to care for the surroundings and the environment, is in line with achieving a cleaner and more sustainable economy. This action is coordinated by Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de Energía (IDAE).
